Hi! I’m Chelsea, I started Vegcouver when I quickly devoured the few vegan blogs I could find with local content.
I’ve been interested in veganism for about a decade, but experienced various challenges along the way. When you’re a teenager living in a meat-eating household, its damn near impossible. Then came college, then 2-3 jobs at a time, and almost never cooking my own food. I committed to a vegan diet in January 2016, and haven’t looked back.
Eating a plant-based diet can be intimidating so I wanted to share what I’ve learned along the way, in hopes of de-mystifying it for others, and encouraging people of all lifestyles to try vegan dishes. The more, the merrier! You won’t find any vegan rage/hate here.
