There are tons of vegan bacon recipes out there, but former carnivores know, there’s nothing quite like it. However this recipe from The Edgy Veg might be the closest I’ve tried! I went with the “chewy” method she describes at the bottom of the post, and it was fantastic. Still super crispy on the edges, but a nice chew, and great smokey flavour. I ate a few pieces on their own, then chopped up the rest to put in “chicken” caesar wraps for dinner. Even my omni husband approved. Highly recommend trying this one, even though Lauren Toyota really hated it when John tried making it. Maybe he just didn’t make it right? Sorry John 😛
