Here are 3 of my favourite vegan sauces to top my tacos with!

I usually just make one of these at a time, but once in a while, if I’m having friends over, I go crazy and make all 3 🙂

Vegan Chipotle Mayo

  • 1 cup vegan mayo of your choice
  • 1 tsp chipotle chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce of your choice
  • a few drops of liquid smoke

Mix all ingredients and enjoy!

Avocado Lime Crema

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • juice from 1 lime
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt & pepper to taste

Blend all ingredients with a hand blender, or in your traditional blender. If its too thick, add some coconut milk, some water or some olive oil until desired consistency.

Vegan Sour Cream

  • 1 cup raw cashews, soaked overnight OR in boiling water for 1 hour
  • juice from 1/2 a lemon
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 cup almond milk

Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth. It doesn’t hurt to blend a little longer than you think you need to, to make sure its not gritty.


I like to funnel my sauces into a squeeze bottle, because I think it makes serving easier, and also makes for a pretty drizzle on top of your taco.
